Sometimes we all need a pick-me-up. Something to bring us back to our happiness. Here are 10 little helpers to get you back on track.

  1. Walt Disney
    Disney with his inspirational quotes himself or his movies always do the trick for me. That can either be a beautiful classic, a Pixar movie, or even a remake. The last one I saw was Beauty and the Beast and I can’t tell you how happy it made me to feel like a kid again, to listen to the beautiful music and have tears come to my eyes when I heard the first note.
  2. Revisit your bucket list
    Check some items off that you’ve done. There are many ways to track this. Very simply, with a calendar entry that you regularly check and adjust. Your calendar will even send you reminders. And if there is nothing to check off at the moment, schedule to get some of those life to do’s done over the next few weeks. And then, don’t forget to come up with new things! 🙂
  3. Go on dates
    That does not just mean date guys or girls romantically, though you should do that as well, of course, as kissing is one of the nicest pastimes! But also date your friends and do that regularly. Meet up for coffee, Meet a group of friends for dinner. Meet your Mom or sister for a cup of tea. Meet with people that inspire you! And especially when you feel down, go out there and engage. Though it may feel like being far outside of your comfort zone, I promise that you will feel better!
  4. Start a new sport or another hobby
    Sometimes we feel quite comfortable where we are and I am not saying that this is a bad thing! Yet no growth happens in this space and if you want to put yourself out there, learning something new is one of the nicest ways to do that. Well, how about you get started right now and take a look at something you’ve always wanted to try?
  5. Alone time
    This might sound strange to some social butterflies out there, but alone time is one of the best ways to find your way back to yourself. Why not put some time on your calendar now and think about what you want to do during this precious time?
  6. Plan your next vacation
    Oh, this is a delicious one, planning your next adventure. This will spark instant happy feelings when you get to plan a time of fun, relaxation and sunshine. This does not have to be a costly vacation though! You could also spend some exciting time off in your city and be a tourist or you can visit your best friend. The options are endless. So come up with something that brings you joy!
  7. Listen to your favorite playlist
    This one always calms me down when stressed and gets me in a good mood. That’s what music does to you. So make sure to have some of those playlists ready to go according to your mood, hum and sing along, or dance like crazy through your apartment or office.
  8. Spend time with someone special today
    I think that every person is special and can be a part of your growth. So why not ask someone to spend some time with you you don’t know that well yet? Or meet up with someone you haven’t seen in a while. You never know, you might leave that meeting more inspired, motivated or simply giddy with joy. That’s what special people usually do to me. They make me happy!
  9. Nourishing your body in the right way
    I know how difficult this can be. We only live once, we don’t want to feel restricted. I know that may seem too difficult or very drastic, but I can only tell you about the amazing additional amount of energy, you will have or the lightness it will add to your step…pure bliss!
  10. Pick out a new book to read
    Perhaps even go to a real life book shop and just read into all kinds of books until you find that one book that you don’t want to put back down. Not even to get home.
