It’s time to wrap up the reading challenge that I started in December 2016!
I’ll be honest, I didn’t get around to reading all the books I set out to read. I read many other books instead (and I will list a few at the end of my 2016 list). There is a mood and a time for a certain book and I just felt like the time was not right for some of them. So I will let some books go and perhaps come back to them later, and others will go on my list of books to read next year! 😃
So let’s take a look
- The School of Greatness by Lewis Howes
Read it and absolutely loved it. Lewis gives some great actionable tips to step into your greatness! - The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom
I adore the books by Mitch Albom and this one didn’t let me down either! It’s a wonderful read and if you haven’t read it, I can only recommend it! - Silber, das dritte Buch der Träume by Kerstin Gier (German author)
I read the complete trilogy and this last book didn’t let me down. I really enjoyed reading it and stepping into a world full of magic and dreams. I love reading books like that which held me escape reality for a while and believe that magic actually is real! - The Selection Series by Kiera Cass
This is a typical young adult adventurous love story, which will take you into another world with a different set of rules. As I love exploring new worlds, this series didn’t let me down, as it also touched my heart. It’s an easy read and young adult, I have to admit, still belongs to my favorite genres! - The Annotated Alice by Lewis Carroll
This book is still on my shelf – unread. I haven’t gotten around to reading it this year. I have, however seen the movies with Johnny Depp, which I enjoyed! But as always, the book is supposed to be better! So it will stay on my list! - The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes by Anna Mc Partlin
Shame on me for not having read this book yet. It remains on my list of books to read! - The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown
I love her! And especially this book, all about embracing your authentic self and appreciating your imperfections. - Der Fürst des Nebels by Carlos Ruiz Zafón
I absolutely adore this author and the picturesque novels that he writes. However, I haven’t gotten around to reading this one yet. It will stay on my list for 2018! - Der Traumtänzer by Andreas Izquierdo
Unfortunately I did not read this book. So it will stay on my list! - Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
I opted for watching the movie instead of reading the book and found the movie to be fascinating! Now that I’ve seen the movie, I don’t plan on reading the book though. So this one didn’t make it. - Mio mein Mio by Astrid Lindgren
This is next to Lindgren’s Pipi Langstrumpf one of the only books I kept from my childhood. It’s a wonderful book that will always remain on my book shelf! - Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright
Love, love, loved it! It’s a wonderful idea and something we should all do more often!
Here is a list of a few books, not on the list, that I enjoyed this year:
- Die 11 Gezeichneten trilogy by Rose Snow
- Dan Brown’s new book Origin
- Own Your Niche by Stephanie Chandler
- Flow Magazine (L-O-V-E it!)
If you enjoy reading, I hope that you always find a time to read just a little bit every single day!
